This 50 mL bottle set of sodium chlorite and citric acid combines to make chlorine dioxide, which purifies and make any water source safe for drinking. Compliant with TGA standards, our water purification treatment is easy to use whether you're out hiking, staying abroad, wanting to clean your tank water or if you are uncertain about your home water source.

Simply mix two drops of PART A (sodium chlorite) with two drops of PART B (citric acid) in a clean dry shot glass or other small container for 30 seconds. That makes chlorine dioxide, which neutralises protozoa, viruses and other bacteria in drinking water so that you know it's safe to consume. Next, once the mixture has turned an amber colour, simply add to any water source. Two drops from each bottle will purify up to one litre of water.

These chlorine dioxide kits can be added to any water source to kill harmful microorganisms and create safe drinking water.

Technical Information

There are many benefits to adding chlorine dioxide to water. Since, the mid 1900's, public water treatment plants have used chlorine dioxide to kill a variety of waterborne pathogens. The Center for Disease Control has also stated specifically that Chlorine Dioxide is used to make drinking water safe. When added to drinking water in accurate amounts, it helps destroy viruses, bacteria and some types of parasites that can make people sick, such as Giardia lamblia and Cryptosporidium parvum.

Our Oneness Water Purification Drops consist of Part A: the Sodium Chlorite Solution which is then combined with Part B: the Citric Acid or Hydrochloric Acid solution. The end product is Chlorine Dioxide - which when mixed with water, will release a highly active form of oxygen which acts as a strong oxidant and antimicrobial agent. Adding appropriate measurements of chlorine dioxide to water will help neutralise any unpleasant tastes and will not discolour the water.
